Biography

Pieter has his roots in Amsterdam where he was born in 1951.

He graduated for mechanical engineering in 1972 and as interior architect in 1979

Joined the aircraft industry with Fokker Aircraft where he was involved in the airline, corporate and utility interior design up to 1992 when he was appointed project leader payload systems for the Fokker 70 / Fokker 100. Joined ADSE from the start in 1996 and was appointed at various management positions. Thru the past 21 years he helped both EASA and the industry in establishing new regulations and assisting the industry in the creation of EASA approved organisations. He was the secretary of the Cabin Safety Steering Group for many years and was an EASA recognized Part 21 and cabin safety expert up to his retirement in 2017. As such he assisted in complex product certification processes of new aircraft designs and VIP completion projects.

He founded in 2016 PAR Consulting which performs seminars on EASA, certification and cabin safety all over the world and allows him to work on a part time basis on certification of interiors.
